Our Farm
Like our cattle, I’ve been raised on this farm all my life. Helping my grandfather (AKA – Pop) checking cows and riding tractors at a young age, then moving on to operating farm equipment, repairing fences, handling cattle and starting my own herd during my teenage years. Later on, I began taking more ownership in the farm as Pop started handing off more responsibility to me then eventually handing the reins over completely. Even when I was able to make my own decisions, I always sought Pop’s advice.
He passed away in 2011, but few things have changed. We still call it Pop’s farm, it's still Grandma’s house, the white cows are still grazing the land and I still often think what would Pop do. I just hope Grandma and Pop are looking down on us pleased with the progress we made to the land they loved so much.
I was lucky enough to meet my business partner, best friend and wife Jami in 2017. A small town country girl who loves the farm life. We tied the knot in 2021 with a wedding on our farm. We work side by side daily feeding cattle, operating tractors while we are producing hay, fixing fences and working cattle through the chute. We both have 40+ hour a week day jobs. We pull together in the evenings and weekends to make this farm a success. Our goal is to one day retire from those jobs and solely be farmers.
